Ages 9–13
Kids Broadcasting Academy
Students work in crews and rotate jobs, so everyone anchors, reports, shoots and edits. They shoot something almost every week and produce a real newscast for their school.
- Interviewing, on-camera confidence, voice and energy
- Camera work, framing and editing in CapCut
“We are storytellers. Fun, but professional.”
Ages 9–13
Creative Writing
Students write every week, play games that sneak the skills in, keep a Writer's Notebook and enter real writing contests, many of them 100-word stories where every word has to earn its spot.
- Characters, settings, twists and great endings
- Real contest entries, start to finish
“Knock my socks off. There are no wrong answers.”
Ages 9–13
Fantasy Sports Math
Students use real stats to calculate, compare and decide the way general managers do: who to draft, who to trade, when to take the risk. A class league runs all year.
- Averages, percents, probability and graphs
- Real players, real numbers, real decisions
“Think like a GM. Every number tells a story.”

Kids Broadcasting Academy, Jr.
A game-packed TV club for younger students. Kids learn to hold a camera, frame a shot, ask a great question and speak up with energy, then play with those skills every week in crews of 3–4.
- Before school at Magnolia Elementary and after school at Hope Elementary in Carlsbad, through the Carlsbad Education Foundation
“Lights, camera, let's have fun!”
